In addition to the Castle, the famous hunting lodge of the Savoy family, which is one of the best preserved and most frequently visited fortresses in the valley, Sarre is home to the permanent exhibition of sacred art, in the church of Saint-Maurice. The objects on display, including wooden sculptures, jewellery and textiles, come from the chapels of Ville-sur-Sarre, Bellun, Champé and the parish church.
It is open every second Saturday of the month, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers from the “Sarre 2Mila8” Association are available for guided tours; other dates and times can be arranged in advance. (Contacts: + 39 329 0610804 – 389 0756575 – 340890 5301).
