The municipality of Jovençan is a mainly agricultural area, characterised by apple orchards, meadows and vineyards: a rural world with its most ancestral, traditional expression in the Maison des Anciens Remèdes (House of Ancient Remedies) in the heart of the village, between the church and the town hall.

La Maison des Anciens Remèdes is a centre for the interpretation of medicinal plants and their traditional and modern uses in the Aosta Valley. Its aim is to preserve the memory of the therapeutic practices and knowledge typical of popular culture in the Valley, in a fun, original and fun way through play and sensory experiences; this approach is very popular not only with children, but also with adults.
