Adjacent to the municipality of Pollein is Charvensod.
It is impossible to establish how far the village dates back, but according to historian Orphé Zanolli, the fundamental document from which all the municipalities in the Aosta Valley originated was the edict of 15 December 1762.
Well worth a visit is the Notre-Dame-de-Pitié Sanctuary in Pont-Suaz, the chapel at the junction of the roads that lead to Charvensod and Gressan. It was built in the 16th century by Ludovico Guichard of Lyon, notary and secretary of the Chapter of Aosta Cathedral Chapter, although tradition has it as being much older. Also very interesting is the parish church of Santa Colomba, dating to 1622 and featuring a high altar in gilded and carved wood
